Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Blevins Tone Co. collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website (blevinstoneco.com), the Blevins Tone Co. store, and our plug-ins and apps (Crumble, Hot Toddy, Compstort, Verbstort, Lunchbox, Nightcap, Nightcap Pro, The Parlour and The Smash Plant).

The short version: we collect only what we need to sell you software, deliver your licences and help you when something goes wrong. We never see your card details, we never sell your information, and our plug-ins never send your audio or projects anywhere.

Who we are

Blevins Tone Co. is run by Roger Blevins Jr., a sole proprietor based in Texas, USA. For anything about your personal information, email blevinsguitars@gmail.com.

The store and payments (Moonbase)

Our store, checkout, customer accounts, downloads and licences are run by Moonbase AS of Norway (moonbase.sh). For your purchase, Moonbase is the seller of record. It takes your payment through its payment providers (such as Stripe and PayPal) and handles sales tax and VAT.

When you buy, start a trial, redeem a voucher or create an account, Moonbase collects:

Moonbase shares with us what we need to run the business and support you: your name, email, country, orders, licences and activations. Moonbase also handles some data as its own business (for orders, payments, tax and fraud prevention), as described in the Moonbase privacy policy and its terms for buyers.

Our plug-ins and apps

When you start a trial or activate a licence, the plug-in or app contacts Moonbase to check it. It sends:

It then checks the licence online from time to time. Moonbase records each check and your internet (IP) address. This is how the 7-day trial and the three-computer limit work, and how you can move a licence from your account. If you'd rather not go online, offline activation is available.

Our software does not send your audio, your sessions or projects, your file names, the other plug-ins you own or how you use the controls. Nightcap Pro's list of your plug-ins and its album projects stay on your computer.

This website

blevinstoneco.com is hosted by Wix.com. Like any web host, Wix keeps standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and when. Wix's site script may also set cookies for security and basic visit statistics. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers and shares your IP address with them.

We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or retargeting, and we don't sell or share your information for targeted advertising. The "Buy" and "My account" buttons take you to the Moonbase store, which uses the cookies it needs for checkout and sign-in.

Emails

Moonbase sends you receipts, licence and download emails, and account messages; these are part of buying from us. We send news or offers only if you opted in, and every one has an unsubscribe link. If you email us for support, we keep that conversation in our email (Google Gmail) so we can help you.

How we use your information

Who we share it with

Only the services that run the business for us: Moonbase and its payment and hosting providers, Wix (website), Google (fonts and email), and Apple only to the extent of standard code-signing checks done by macOS. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public. We never sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records are kept as long as the law requires; for sales through Moonbase that is up to 10 years. Your account and licences stay as long as you have them, so you can download and re-activate your software. Support emails are kept as long as they are useful for helping you. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below); deleting your account also ends your licences.

Where it is stored

Moonbase stores data in the European Union (Amazon Web Services in Ireland). Wix and Google may process data in the United States and elsewhere. These companies protect international transfers with recognised safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

Email blevinsguitars@gmail.com from the address on your account. We'll reply within 30 days, and we won't treat you differently for asking. You can also update your details and see your computers in your Blevins Tone Co. account.

If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to object to or restrict our use of your information and to receive it in a portable format. We rely on these legal grounds: performing our contract with you (sales, licences, support), our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, improving our software), legal obligations (tax records) and your consent (marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time). You can complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in California, Texas or another US state with a privacy law, you have the rights above. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, and we do not use it to make decisions with legal effects about you. If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.

Children

Our products are not meant for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU), and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

The store and this website use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Licences are signed so they can't be forged, and passwords and payment details are handled only by Moonbase and its payment providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can see your information and keep only what we need.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date. If a change is significant, we'll also email customers.
